Prefabricados Delta is supplying approximately 7 kilometres of post-tensioned concrete pipe with sheet metal cladding and elastic joints for the Almudevar Irrigation Community, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. 

The project is worth more than €14 million, and P Delta has already supplied the main and secondary pipes in the various phases of modernisation of this community, totalling 20 kilometres of pipe with diameters ranging from DN1200 to 500 mm.

The works include the construction of two reservoirs, the installation of pipes, and the creation of a photovoltaic park that will supply energy to the pumping stations. In addition, the connection of these facilities to the existing irrigation networks is being considered.

About the Almudévar Irrigation Community:

The Almudévar Irrigation Community, founded in 1925 and now celebrating its 100th anniversary, covers 3,704 hectares and has 517 members distributed across the municipalities of Almudévar, Alcalá de Gurrea and Gurrea de Gállego, in the province of Huesca. Prefabricados Delta, as the main supplier of pipes to this Irrigation Community, will participate in the centenary celebrations to be held in Almudevar on 25 September.
