Prefabricados Delta will supply 14 kilometres of concrete pipe with a metal casing in diameters of 2200, 2000 and 1800 mm for the project to modernise the irrigation system of the Canal del Bajo Carrión Irrigation Association in Palencia. The contract has a budget of over 16 million euros.

The project has a maximum energy efficiency plan to build a connection from the river Carrión at a level that will allow, through a general pipeline, the supply of an irrigation area of 6,600 hectares. This system avoids the need for pumping installations and electricity consumption, increasing the profitability and sustainability of the farms.

The project consists of a supply of 14 kilometres of concrete pipe with a sheet metal jacket and double elastic joint.

• 1800 metres of DN1800 post-tensioned concrete pipe with sheet metal jacket and double elastic joint.
• 5200 metres of DN2000 post-tensioned concrete pipe with sheet metal jacket and double elastic joint.
• 7050 metres of DN2200 reinforced concrete pipe with steel jacket and double elastic joint.
