History

  • Prefabricados Delta has been offering solutions since 1968 and was founded to meet a demand for pipes in Madrid, needed to improve the supply of services. The Humanes Factory was established and 200 km of steel cylinder concrete pipes were supplied.
  • During the 1970s, the factory broadened its scope and undertook different supply, irrigation and sanitation orders, as well as prefabrication orders on a national scale.
  • A new factory to precast pre-stressed steel cylinder concrete pipes was set up in 1985 in Puente Genil (Córdoba) in order to supply pipes for the Comunidad de Regantes del Genil Cabra main network, covering a 40,000-hectare surface area.
  • In 1992, monoblock concrete sleepers for the Madrid-Sevilla High-Speed railway were supplied from the Puente Genil Plant.
  • The precasting of tunnel segments for line 12 (Metro Sur) of the Madrid Metro began in 1998.
  • Construction began in 2003 on our glass reinforced polyester pipes (GRP) factory, set up to meet the needs of our clients in the irrigation and sanitation sectors.
  • The supply of segments for the south tunnel of "Calle 30" in Madrid, setting a world record at the time for that type of tunnel, began in 2005.
  • Bridge segments for the Despeñaperros viaducts in Jaén, built to improve the A4, were supplied in 2007.
  • A factory to manufacture post-tensioned precast concrete girders, measuring up to 40 metres in length, for the Riyadh Metro in Saudi Arabia was designed and built in 2015.
